Sheep among Wolves! (Matthew 10: 16 -23)

“Behold I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they scourge you in their synagogues, and you shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what you shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what you shall speak. For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaks in you. And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. And you will be hated of all men for my names sake: but he that endures to the end shall be saved!” and ….. vs. 28-32 —” And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall to the ground without your Father. But the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore. you are of more value than many sparrows!”
This is a continuation of my Manny Pacquiao post! One seems to lead to another! Manny lived his faith before millions! We are asked to hang in there! We live our lives for an audience of those who we come in contact each day!Our daily lives must be lead by the Spirit! We must live each moment with Christ in mind, and live our lives in such a way that others will glorify our Father in heaven! Our daily encounters are our testimony to the world! They are our individual “Epistles”- the only Gospel many will see!
We are seeing the next adventure in this life of faith! We are increasing seeing that we live in a hostile world! Our faith is challenged -like sheep in the midst of wolves, we need to be “wise as serpents” and “harmless as doves”. Everything, many of us do, will be examined! People are ready to ask why we react as we do, and believe as we do! We need to be ready to profess our faith and share the Gospel! If we do this God has said that He will give us the words to say! He “will never leave or forsake us!” The Enemy and those who have rejected the Lord may say “There is no God!” They will make it hard to go on for many believers! We are seeing it coming to some brothers and sisters now! We are seeing wolves come after the doves, but hold on to the faith and be strong for “The Lord thy God is with thee!” Our culture is bombarding our faith! It challenges our beliefs! When that happens focus on your testimony of God’s faithfulness and moments when His reality was the clearest! Spend time with Him and He will make His Spirit known to you! Continue to live your life for Jesus and show the power of His reality to others!
